In the first half of this year, multinational companies newly increased 24 projects in Jiangsu with total investment of USD870m and contractual foreign capital of USD440m. Among them, Fortune 500 enterprises newly increased 14 projects with total investment of USD480m and contractual foreign capital of USD210m. The 24 projects consist of 16 ones in south Jiangsu, with total investment of USD600m, accounting for 69.5% of the total, and contractual foreign capital of USD270m, accounting for 62.1% of the total; 6 projects in central Jiangsu with total investment of USD210m, accounting for 23.7% of the total, and contractual foreign capital of USD150m, accounting for 33.0% of the total; 2 projects in north Jiangsu with total investment of USD58.58m, accounting for 6.7% of the total, and contractual foreign capital of 21.52m, accounting for 4.9% of the total. Multinational companies from a total of 13 countries and regions newly set up projects mainly in US, Hong Kong and Italy. In terms of industries, one is the project of the primary industry, 21 of the secondary industry and 2 of the tertiary industry. |
